INSTRUCTOR:  Will Clark

A former Navy SEAL and SWAT Team Member, is currently a Law Enforcement Officer and Firearms Instructor for a local police department.

DESCRIPTION:
This is a 1 hour PRIVATE LESSON for Pistol or Rifle instruction with DR Owner Will Clark. The primary goal of this lesson is to introduce (if needed) the students to basic defensive shooting fundamentals and move on to more advanced tactics. The students will begin to learn and improve their skills, and attitude essential to surviving a lethal threat or confrontation.

Instruction topics may include (based on skill level):  Safety and Range Etiquette Review, Defensive Shooting Techniques, Tactical Loading Considerations and Techniques, Use of Cover, Draw to the Ready Position and Use of the Ready Position, engaging multiple threats, low light shooting, wounded shooter drills, equipment malfunctions and moving targets. Elements of personal awareness and verbal intervention will also be discussed and practiced.

This is a private lesson that can be customized at the request of the participant and the participant’s ability. This also is a shooting course and very limited time is spent in the classroom to ensure maximum training on the range.

Equipment you will need for Pistol Lesson:

  • Handgun (2 magazines or a revolver with speed loaders). You may bring multiple handguns if you like.
  • Holster and magazine holders. We will be working mainly from the position of concealment. Have a good quality holster. (No cross draw holsters)
  • 200 rounds of ammunition.

Equipment you will need for Rifle Lesson:

  • Rifle (2 magazines)
  • Rifle Sling and magazine holders. We will be working mainly from the position of Low -Ready. Have a good quality sling
  • 100 rounds of ammunition

Additional equipment required:

  • Eye protection – clear glasses.
  • Ear protection – Standard or electronic ear muffs, or foam ear plugs.
  • Clothes: Comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, along with closed toed shoes. Please no “V” necks or other low cut shirts.
